The Firm
A practice built on judgement, not volume.
John Ainetor & Co is a Nigerian law firm headquartered in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja. We represent individuals, enterprises, and institutions in matters that demand both rigour and discretion in court, in the boardroom, and at the negotiating table.
Founded by John Inegbenoise Ainetor, Esq., the firm combines courtroom advocacy with strategic advisory across corporate, property, tax, and family law. Every engagement is led by senior counsel and shaped by an instinct for resolution.
Corporate &
Commercial
Transactions. Governance. Compliance.
Counsel to Enterprises and Institutions in Nigeria.
We advise listed and private companies, family businesses, and institutional clients on incorporation, corporate governance, shareholder arrangements, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. Our mandates routinely involve engagement with the Corporate Affairs Commission, the Nigeria Revenue Service, the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, and relevant sectoral regulators.
Litigation &
Dispute Resolution
Civil. Commercial. Appellate.
Advocacy Prepared to the Standard of a Final Hearing, from Day One.
We represent clients in civil and commercial disputes before the Magistrates’ Courts, the Federal Capital Territory High Court, the Federal High Court, the Court of Appeal, and, where appropriate, the Supreme Court of Nigeria. When a continuing relationship is at stake, we approach mediation and arbitration with the same rigour we bring to court.
Notary Public
of the Federation
Supreme Court of Nigeria. February 2026.
A Notary Public at the Bar of the Nation.
In February 2026, the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria approved the Oath Instrument for our Principal, John Inegbenoise Ainetor, Esq., as a Notary Public. The office is conferred sparingly and reserved for legal practitioners of demonstrable standing and unimpeachable character. For our clients, this means a single retained adviser can both prepare and notarise an instrument — eliminating the delay and exposure of routing documents to a separate office.
